10 for Tuesday for 2 Months

Ten things about Jackson to mark his first two months.

-I make Daddy & Mommy very happy with my big toothless smiles.

-I get mesmerized by my fishy mobile as I fall asleep at night.

-BumGenius 3.0 are my diapers of choice.

-Mommy & I love to have storytime in my big rocking chair in the sunshine.

-I love to watch hockey at Uncle Spencer & Aunty Brenda’s with my family. Go Canucks Go!

-I let Daddy give me belly raspberries ‘cuz it makes him smile.

-I am a lover of any and all music. But Billy Talent Rocks!

-Car rides & stroller rides put me to sleep.

-Snuggling with someone warm & cuddly is my favourite pastime.

-I can do ‘baby pushups’ & roll from my belly to my back (see pictures in previous posting). They don’t call me Action Jackson for nothing.

Look what I can do...

During some active alert time with Jackson yesterday, I captured his attempt at rolling.

Happy Valentine's Day

I know that Valentine's Day is a little overrated and that it is mainly an over commercialized quasi-holiday, but it is the first of many with our new little man so I had to commemorate the day accordingly in his list of completed firsts. So Jackson & I pulled out the craft materials and made Dad a sweet little card to mark the occasion. Dad will surely love it especially since it's attached to his favourite chocolate.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Jackson & Daddy Playing Trucks

Just a few quick shots of the boys at the fire hall checking out the trucks. One day soon I am sure Jackson will be crawling all over these trucks and asking to turn on the lights and sirens. But not too soon...Mommy still likes the fact that he can still fit inside of Daddy's helmet.

First Smiles

Another first has come and gone, but no regrets as this milestone passes as it brings me lots of happy toothless smiles from my baby boy. Just had to share these cute first photos taken at just 6 1/2 wks old on February 3.

Cousins' Puppet Show

I just had to share some very cute pictures I snapped recently. During a visit with the little ones in the family, we were so greatly honoured with some homemade entertainment.
Little Travis and Sophie put on a puppet show with their hand crafted animals, complete with a narrative story courtesy of Miss Sophie. And as Uncle Scott said after the performance, it was just the way he liked 'em; short and full of laughter or in this case, lots of giggles and all of ten seconds for the entire show. But it sure was fun to watch them and what a terrific moment to catch of two cute little cousins playing.

Wanted: More Closet Space

Over the past few weeks I have been trying to organize Jackson's multitude of clothes. Through the generosity of family and friends he has clothes from size newborn to 3 years. Now Mommy just has to figure out where to put all of his new threads.
You see, we live in a home with limited closet space. When we first moved into this house I took over the spare room closet which is double doored and mirrored, I love it. But this spare room is now Jackson's room, so Mommy's clothes have to find a new place to reside. And the closet in our bedroom is very tiny and barely contains all of Scott's clothes. So now I have to get creative with storage and separating seasonal clothing and severely purging everybody's unused clothing.

You might ask, why change the closet situation; share Jackson's closet if it is so big, well that would be great if the boy's wardrobe wasn't almost as large as my own. So over the last week I have been slowly packing away all the maternity clothes, until the next 'bump' comes along, and trying to bring out some of my pre-Jackson clothes that are seasonally appropriate so I have something to wear besides jeans and nursing tops. But where to put them I do not know as I am still trying to stay on top of separating Jackson's clothes by size and age.
And just to let you know, never believe the size on the label of baby clothes, it's just like the conspiracy with women's size labels. Jackson is currently wearing size newborn to 6 months depending on who and where it was made. They like to start the size confusion off early...like I said, a conspiracy.
In the meantime, I have some lovely Rubbermaid tubs that are great for holding all my clothes, just not so convenient for finding what I want to wear on a daily basis. Now I know what it feels like to live out of a suitcase minus the great vacation that normally comes with the experience. Wish me luck! I hope to find a solution before Jackson starts kindergarten.
