And that was just the first day/night of camping in Manning Park. Thank you to Papa Paul for the use of his propane fireplace! Kept us toasty when the sun disappeared.
But I must admit that the campsite and lake were simply beautiful and so peaceful.
We planned on staying three nights in E.C.Manning Park with Aunty Joy & Uncle Scott but settled for two chilly overnights. I am not exagerating when I claim it was cold... there was actually ice on the picnic tables from the morning dew when we woke after the first night. Really!!!
JMan & Daddy even went fishing & he caught his very first trout (only one that weekend). I think we were more excited than he was when he was reeling it in.
But Jackson did not notice the cold one bit. He loved every minute of chasing squirrels & chipmunks, jumping off logs & stumps, playing frisbee with Mom & Dad and just the novelty of sleeping in a tent outside. He made the cold not so bad and all worth it.

Yes, it was cold and a bit windy when I visited the campers on the Sunday. It was fun to eat Breakfast and Lunch outdoors with the birds flying around and the chipmucks running under the picnic table.
So much fun with Grammie, A Joy & U Scott! Thanks so joining in our camping weekend!
It can get VERY cold there even in summer - you're awesome to have braved it in September!
And of course Jackson loved it - kids just put what's important into perspective eh?
